Not contented with giving low wages for migrant workers, the Taiwanese government is again gearing for another anti-migrant policy. This time, by imposing a 20% income tax covering all foreign workers including those earning less that NT$10,000 (US$312) per month.

Migrant workers' organizations and their advocates are again up in arms against this highly discriminatory policy that will further reduce the meager income of low-paid foreign workers specially household service workers (domestic workers) and factory workers. ()
